September 2013 - Te Awe Goes Global!

On Thursday 26th September 2013 Te Awe played host to a group of First Nation people at Te Raukura o Te Wharewaka.

Our honoured guests travelled from Canada to learn more about the ways in which Maori promote the interests of Maori in New Zealand and around the world. They have been travelling New Zealand talking to different Maori networks and groups to learn how to better position themselves as a people in todays changing world.

After a formal welcome and Kapa haka performance the group reciprocated with a performance for Te Awe.

Karaka cafe supplied the spread afterwards and the two groups intermingled and exchanged ideas.
