Ake Ake Ake – A Forever Language

Published: Aug 16, 2024, 5:43 PM

We're excited to share the beautiful kaupapa of Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori | Māori Language Commission as they celebrate “ake ake ake – a forever language” or in te reo, “ake ake ake – mō ake tonu te reo”

Ake Ake Ake – A Forever Language

‘Ake ake ake’ reflects the strength and resilience of te reo Māori, much like the mighty akeake tree, which thrives even in the toughest conditions. With care and collective effort, our language can continue to grow strong, providing a foundation for future generations.
